WAIKIKI MUSE SERIES
A collection honoring identity, strength, and the threads that connect us
Each muse in this collection is faceless so that anyone may recognize themselves within her. Her luminous curls are created from reclaimed vintage textiles- fragments of past lives woven into new identities. These works represent the many roles we inhibit and the vibrant threads that connect us all
Deborah Mascia is a Hawaiʻi-based artist, designer, and creative entrepreneur whose work celebrates identity, transformation, and the vibrant threads that connect us all. Known for her bold contemporary muses and signature use of luminous color, Deborah creates mixed media artworks that merge acrylic paint with reclaimed vintage textiles, giving past materials new life through art. Her faceless figures are intentionally universal—inviting viewers to recognize themselves, their stories, and their many roles within each muse. Through layered textures, striking palettes, and expressive compositions, her work explores femininity, resilience, reinvention, and human connection. Before focusing fully on fine art, Deborah built an internationally recognized sustainable fashion brand rooted in creativity and upcycling, earning acclaim for transforming vintage garments into one-of-a-kind modern pieces. That same spirit of renewal now lives within her artwork. Each piece is created in Hawaiʻi and reflects a sense of joy, strength, movement, and possibility. Her evolving collections, including the WAHINE MUSE SERIES and Threads of Her, are designed to bring beauty, meaning, and bold energy into contemporary spaces.
Deborah Mascia’s work invites collectors not only to decorate their walls—but to see themselves reflected in the art.
